Overview:
Computer Engineering & Information Technology Department was established in the year 2001. It follows the curriculum prescribed by DOTE, Chennai for the award of Diploma. The department is well equipped with well established Laboratories.
Infrastructure:
We have excellent infrastructure in the laboratory. Qualified and dedicated faculty members make the task of accomplishing this easier. Students are always given the best opportunities for independent thinking, which will help them in utilizing their potential creativity.
Objective:
The department aims to impart technical education to students and satisfy all the requirements needed for the industrial environment.
The department’s ultimate goal is to kindle the creativity and new thoughts among the students by providing them a lot of basic and advanced latest information and to make the brightest way for the career and higher studies for the students.
We impart quality engineers to rural and urban students thereby producing competent, disciplined and quality engineers to serve the society for the nation.
State Level Technical Symposium:
Our college conducts a state level technical Symposium SPARK every year. Students from various colleges in the State participate in this symposium. Importance is given for Paper Presentation, Technical Quiz , General Quiz Etc. It gives opportunity for our students not only to participate in the deliberations but also to get experience in the organizational skills.
We encourage our students to participate in Paper Presentation and other competitions in various institutions.
Internet Facility:
Our campus provide the most modern and congenial atmosphere for the Computer & IT education. Multimedia Lab , Internet Lab are all housed in the Computer Lab. 8 Mpbs internet connectivity has been provided for the use of students & staff.
Coaching:
Periodical tests are conducted in regular Intervals to coach their studies. Students scoring less marks are identified and additional Coaching is given. Students are encouraged to take Industrial Visits and In-Plant Training.
The department conducts seminars and workshops in various fields to mould the students to face the global level challenges.
Special coaching is given in communication skill and personality development to make them competent. Training and Placement cell is making every effort to the students for the industrial requirement.
The growth of Computer Engineering & Information Technology Department is exponential in all the best activities. It is one of the strongest academic sections of the college. It is well equipped with the state-of art facilities, laboratories and best infrastructure which are also regularly upgraded.
Faculty:
The department has highly experienced, dedicated staff members. The staff strength according to the norms prescribed by All India Council for Technical Education , New Delhi, and affiliated to DOTE , Chennai.
Faculties are encouraged to make use of different teaching aids like OHP,LCD Projector etc., to make the lectures lively.
